Celebrating Eight Years of The Xylom!
Dear Reader,
Today, we celebrate eight years of The Xylom.
Eight is an auspicious number across various Asian cultures and religions, symbolizing wealth and abundance. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning, or just learned about our work last week, we are fortunate to have you be part of our journey through thick and thin!

The Xylom has gone through multiple iterations since when we first started in 2018, but our vision remains the same: to provide you with actionable information to grow healthy, thriving communities. Our team will be taking a break this week to spend time with our loved ones, but you can still expect this week’s newsletter to hit your inboxes Saturday.
If our work has made a difference in your lives at any point in the past eight years, please help us keep going for another eight years by making an “eight”-themed donation towards our AANHPI Heritage Month fundraiser.
On behalf of Alex, KC, and our contributors, thank you once again for being champions of our independent reporting.
Warmly,
Laasya Shekhar
Managing Editor
